Bowling tournament

Today we went to visit Grandpa Long and Uncle Richard at the bowling alley.  They were in a tournament and Jenn and the girls were there too.

First swim

We want to get Indy in swim lessons but they are really expensive at the private pools.  Today we went on a swim date with Rae and Indy loved it!  He was a little nervous on his back at first but within a minute he was on his back, dunking, and kicking his legs when on his belly.  What is even better is they have lessons starting in a month for only $28 dollars!  We are going to see how his skin did with the chlorine and if the eczema doesn't flare up too bad, he is a water baby!

Kathleen visits...a week ago

Guess who got his first tooth!

That little white spec on the bottom left is the start of his first tooth!  I was so proud, what a big week.  Rolling over, sitting, and a tooth!  My baby is getting big.

Day out on the lawn

We spent some time outdoors today on the front lawn under the shade canopy.  Indy practiced sitting and rolling and I sat in the sun for a bit.  Pretty nice Saturday!

He is sitting pretty well, he doesn't stay up long without assistance but it is a start.  

5 month photos

He is almost sitting up on his own and he finally rolled over from his back to his stomach today on his own.  Kevin left him on his mat for a second and when he looked again Indy was on his belly.   He is eating more solids and loves fresh fruit.  

I bought a six month onsie when I made them but he is still in 3 months.  We have a little peanut so it is huge on him!

Ummm dopey much!

Kevin and I were sitting around critique the awkwardness of other peoples kids when we realized our kid totally looks like dopey of the seven dwarfs.  Haha, luckily all kids grow into their dorkiness. 

Big ears, goofy grin, sweet blue eyes, big round bald head!  Yep we got a cute adorable little dopey!   

I love my daddy!

I am so lucky to have a husband who gets to stay home with my son.  I get pictures during the day and It gives you a peace of mind no babysitter can.  Kevin may not always agree, due to a bit of boredom and needing more time to get work done, but I love it.  

Family picnic at the park

Kevin and I realized we rarely get to hang out as a family after my sister mentioned Sarurday they spend time together as a family.  Unfortunately, with Kevin working at night and on the weekends and me working in the day we split shifts a lot.  Therefore we are rarely all three together. So, he came home early from work on Saturday and we went for a walk to the park and had a picnic.  It was really nice to hang out with my two favorite men!

St. Baldricks

My dad has a friend whose daughter died years back from cancer.  Each year my dad raises money for the childhood cancer fund St. Baldricks.  We tried to go support him each year and watch him get his head shaved.  We almost made it before Indy fell asleep.  

He is very tired.  He missed his afternoon nap.

The pack and play

Indy was being put down to sleep in the pack and play when Cora came over and wanted to get in and read him a story.  She laid down and read him a book, which he actually listened to...he is so happy around her.  She then asked Kevin to lift her out and told him that he had to leave, Indy was going to sleep now.
