quadrupedal

Indy really wants to move but his body won't always cooperate.   He keeps trying to crawl but that darn belly keeps beaching him.  So, last night I held his belly up for him and he immediately moved into position.
I was really excited for him but then he tried to move forward and...splat!  He fell on his face and sprawled out.  He wasn't deterred though, he just got right back up and tried again.  We are in trouble!

Happy birthday Mark and Angela

Indy was a trooper and was hanging strong toward the early evening so we went to a bday BBQ.  He tried hummus and loved it!  He tried cucumber...not so sure and quacamole was only okay.  Emmet was there and promptly fell into the pond and was thereafter in a child's shirt Mark just happened to have (even though he doesn't have kids) and some naked legs.  He was running around happy as a clam!
With Cynthia
Emmet without pants and a makeshift light saber.

Swinging at the park

We went to the earth day festival today and stopped at the park to see if Indy wanted to swing.  We have been talking about trying it out but the parks near our house don't have swings, let alone baby swings.  We figured he would love it...guess we were right!

Uncle Jeremy visits

Jeremy is in for his bachelor party so we got to see him for about an hour today.  Indy was pretty fussy so that was a bummer but it was still good to get together.
Indy was more interested in Courtney and crying!
I love Cora's fish face!

I am sleepy

That is what Kevin is saying in this picture!  Indy looks pretty happy while daddy rests his eyes.  Daddy daycare=exhausting!

Poor Zeppo

He is so tolerant!  Indy squeezes his jowls, rolls into him, and now rides him. A boy and his dog!

Playing with friend

We went to have cake at Catherine's for
her birthday.  Indy went in the pack and play with Rae and now that they can both sit, they just played together.  It was so nice to just let him hang out with her while I chatted.  She kept putting her fingers in his mouth and Indy would let her but stared at her funny when she did it.  She also wanted to touch his face repeatedly and he kept turning away but she was very concerned about his band aids.
They would just pass toys back and forth to each other.  It was pretty cute.
Or steal toys from one another!

Brushing our teeth

We brush Indy's teeth at least twice a day.  He loves it and we are trying to establish good habits now.  This morning I brushed his teeth so he wanted to brush mommies teeth.

Dying eggs!

Yum eggs!
Cora loved it and I don't know what was more dyed, the eggs or Cora herself.

I am holding my chest up pretty good.  I keep trying to get those knees nude me but my belly keeps beaching me!

Helping mommy clean leaves

Indy really wanted to help me clean up the yard for The Easter BBQ.  I was very greatful that he was interested in cleaning....keep grinding that into him.  Unless he turns out to be like my brother who told his girlfriend he didn't know how to clean the bathroom because he never learned growing up!  Well, we grew up in the same house and my sister and I do just fine.  Guess we'll see.

Spider-Man shades

I got Indy some Spider-man sunglasses and they fit him perfectly!  He even wore them without pulling them off.  I think he actually liked it.

Morning walk instead

Since we weren't in San Diego we went for a family walk and tried out the hiking backpack.  It didn't last long but he enjoyed it for a short while then we switched to the jogging stroller.

A day of flying!

Indy and I were going to San Diego to visit my mom but things didn't really work out so we spent the day as jet setters.  Indy was a rock star and was such a good boy on all the flights but the last one.  We had an entire row on two of the flights...no one wanted to sit next to us which was fine by me!
The flight attendants gave him his own pretzels, they kept him entertained the whole flight.
And so did this cup...
Who needs toys!

Flight number two...whew!

Flight three...no pictures!  It wasn't pretty but the two men squeezing us were both fathers and very nice and tolerant.

Visit with Auntie Peggy

We went to see my Aunt and her daughter Sienna today.  Sienna is a lovely, smart, talkative little girl and Indy couldn't stop staring at her.  He just liked watching her talk and play.  He would get a cute grin once in a while when she was talking to us.  He also loved my Aunt Peg!  She is very animated when she speaks and is loud and paid special attention to Indy.  He took right to her and even rested his head on her which he doesn't do to many people.  We went for a run with the kids and Sienna even had her cute workout grear.  Great way to spend Sunday!  Oh and Peg hooked us up with the next stage car seats and a potty.

Buds

Zeppelin is very scared of kids and when Cora was a baby he would run whenever she came around.  We were nervous about him being around Indy but he immediately took to Indy.  He doesn't love it when Indy grabs his jowls but he will let Indy pet him from time to time.  He also looks for the baby if he cannot see him.

Set back

Maybe I spoke too soon!  We went to Costco and on the drive home Indy was fussing a bit but nothing major so I wasn't worried.  When I went to get him out if the car this is what I found....
Kid and car covered in blood!  Again!
It wasn't as bad as the first time but it was still enough to get me balling.  Poor Kevin came home from work and cleaned the blood off the car seat.  This is the third or fourth time he has been covered in blood from opening his eczema wound.  We may just have to bandage him full time until he stops scratching himself.  #sadmommy

We have almost got you beat!

We have been putting band aids on his face at night with mittens and a pretty strict bath routine.  We almost have that darn eczema licked...for now anyway!
