Wagon ride with my ladies
I got this picture today from Wendy at daycare. The kids went on a walk in the wagon and she put some sunnies on Indy. He looked pretty stylin' in his hoodie and shades. I think I better invest in a wagon soon!

The cardboard house begins
I want to build a spooky play house for Indy's birthday. I picked up a refrigerator box at RC Willey today and am cutting out the windows and door. I will build the roof this weekend and paint it next week. I will keep everyone posted on my progress.

My own ukulele
We wanted to get him a small guitar so he can start really playing..well sort of. I found this ukulele at a thrift store for $3. Kevin still has to restring it but he carries it around and today Kevin and him had a jam session.
Baby it's cold outside
Typical Reno- last week 90 degrees out, this week in the 40's. So we had to go pick up some warmer clothes.
Helper
Indy is super interested in cleaning items. He loves the vacuum and the broom. He was helping me sweep today until he got too frustrated with the heavy broom handle and lost it...not the broom, his temper!
Sleeping in a big bed
I left Indy with my parents for the show and when I got back he was a little upset so I let him sleep with me. It is amazing how much room a 1 year old can take on a full size bed. These are in order and he was asleep the whole time.
Old crow medicine show!!
Date night!!! Yep, you heard it...DATE NIGHT!!! We went to Old Crow Medicine Show and it was amazing!!!
We love parks at 6 am!
Here we were again, at another wedding, making way too much noise at 6 am. Thank goodness for the little playground the hotel set up behind the cottages. We did the slide for the first time.
M&M wedding
Indy went to his second wedding and this time got to stay for the reception. He was a ham and was a dancing fool. He also fell in love...with a 7 year old!
Kevin had to work so it was just me and Indy at the wedding.
The location was pretty kid friendly and there was plenty of play areas. Then Indy discovered the dance floor and his angel.
He kept chasing this little girl, Eloisa, around the dance floor while she was spinning, twirling, and jumping. He would just stare at her in awe then he would scream and chase her. She finally had pity on him and gave him a dance. I don't think his smile could have gotten any bigger.
Then daddy finally showed up and we were a happy and very attractive family ; )
About 20 minutes after this we had a full meltdown because he wanted to dance at the same time as the father daughter dance and we wouldn't let him. He is a party animal and did great considering he had a short nap and was up until 9 pm. Congrats Marcy and Matt!

More art
Indiana and I were playing in the yard and he found a yellow leaf. I was explaining that it is Fall and the leaves will change color and drop to the ground. He played with the leaf for so long I decided to do an art piece with him. He even helped although he only used the correct side of the colored pencil half of the time.
More balloons
Day 2- Indy slept until 6:45 so we didn't make it to watch all the balloons lift off but it was still a pretty site with them in the air. Plus Indy got to have a play date with Rae afterward.
Early birthday present
Since Indy has been lounging in his car seat so much I wanted to get him a chair for his birthday. I started looking for one and literally the next day Chet asked me if I wanted a chair. A woman from his work asked him if he wanted it and I swooped it up.

Painting for Abbey
Abbey is at camp this week and Indy painted a picture special for her. This is his first painting and we hope Abbey likes it. We are worried we waited too long and it won't make it in time!

Dawn patrol
My father has lived here for over 20 years and has never been to dawn patrol at the Reno Balloon Races. Kevin has been here seven years and he hasn't either! So we buddled all the kids up and got up at 4:30 to meet my family and walk to the park where the races are. Kevin was less than thrilled, complaining about why anyone gets up this early to see lit up balloons.
That is one grumpy daddy.
Watching the balloons fill and all lift off is pretty cool. Overall a good morning for the Badik family.
