Ellie's bath all by herself

As the second child Ellie shares everything.  Her toys (which Indy steals), attention, and baths.  Today she got her own bath with no brother or mommy.

Birthday taxi

Indy's friend is having a birthday and I told him he could pick out the present.  He picked out a baby high chair, a bubble machine, a mini Elsa and Anna, and a Frozen backpack.  I told him he could get two items and he took a long time to think it over but decided on a bubble machine and a baby high chair.  I think she will be very happy and it was very cute to see him making his own choices.  To reward him for being so good and cooperating he got to ride the taxi in the entry way.

Finally wearing his robe

Indy got a robe and slippers for Christmas and he refused to put them on.  Luckily I planned for this possibility so the robe is a 3T and my sister gave him one size too big slippers.  The other day he wet the bed and was cold while I was changing and sponging him down.  I asked if he wanted his robe and slippers and he actually wore them around!  It was a good moment.

Little big sister

I am not sure Indy realizes that Ellie is smaller than him.  He takes every opportunity to lay on her.  He decided to give her a chubby face after laying all over her...poor baby girl!  Welcome to having a brother.

Siblings

Indy likes to lean on us from time to time, especially if we are sitting on the couch.  This weekend he decided to lean backward and lay his head on Ellie while she was on the couch.  Kevin quickly told him to get his head off of her but not before I snapped a few shots.  I don't think Ellie minded!

Santa

We never put this up but Indy refused to see Santa so just Ellie got a picture this year.  I wanted the crying picture but Kevin would not let me make Indy go.  Indy has a death grip on Kevin's neck anyway so it would have been mean.
This was the best one.  The rest she looked like she was pooping.

Grandma and papa

Indy woke up yesterday and went to the window and kept looking out the curtain. I asked him what he was looking at and he said grandma and papa??  He was wondering when they would come so he decided that he would take the cube with their picture to bed last night.  He proceeded to have a conversation with them and tell the imaginary giant in the room that the picture was his grandma and grandpa.
We miss you already!  Thank you for such an awesome visit.

First bath

Indy really loves his sister.  He wakes looking for her and kisses her constantly. He is always sharing toys and wants to include her in everything.  I was really worried he would react negatively but he seems so happy to have her her.
I gave Ellie her first bath and Indy came in and got a huge grin.  He immediately wanted to get in and said, "wash?"  He then got a washcloth and wanted to scrub her.  He was a little rough but once I asked him to be soft and I put her in his lap he washed her body and hair pretty well.  She was a little apprehensive but overall liked the bath.

Minnie Mouse birthday party

Indy and Ellie were invited to a Minnie Mouse birthday party at the discovery museum.  Indy did not want to wear his Mickey ears so he said Elliah should wear them.  She looked pretty cute!

The best big brother

Indy has been a great big brother so far.  He gives Ellie a kiss goodbye everyday, shares his food and toys, and likes helping mommy.  If I leave the room for a second, I ask him to "watch" her.  He always gets really close to her and talks to her or cuddles her.  I love watching him with her.

Playing night night

Indy has really been into playing night night.  He pretends to sleep or puts us to sleep.  What is funny is he still fights real bedtime everyday!  He decided to take his foam mats and say they were blankets.  Kevin and him looked so funny under the play pads.
