Nursery

The bookshelves turned out great but we need stronger rods.  Kevin's coon hat is now Indiana's.  Soon the picture frame from CJ will have his little foot and hand print along with an actual picture.

The curtains came from a thrift store and happened to match the comforter that I bought when Cora was a baby and would sleep over.

The stand was a white shelf that wouldn't shut so Kevin added a magnet to keep it closed and I painted it green with chalkboard paint on the front to write on and now it holds board books.

Aunt Grace sent the great tree frame hanging over the door.  She brought it back from Slovakia and it matched great!

These three pictures were from Annie, the Van Dellen's mom.  She made them when the boys were young and since they didn't want them and they matched the colorful room we decided to hang them up for Indiana.  I love all the wonderful history going into Indy's room already.

Of course, you couldn't have a boys room without some Yankees gear and Ohio State decals.  The black cart holds pacifiers and came from Costa Rica as a gift from Aunt Jade.  The butterfly picture was given to Indiana from Grandma Long and was made by the 2nd grade class at her school.  It is butterfly pictures that were colored and pinned to look like a real butterly case.

We still need to get a toy bin to put the stuffed animals away.  Grandma Badik sent a bunch of cute blankets and they matched so well!  Grandma Kohoutek luckily got the mattress and helped pick out all the sheets otherwise that crib would have been pretty uncomfortable.

Mick, Jill, Gabe, Noah, and Isaac sent us the great decals for the walls.  My work friends gave us the monster lamp and stuffed animal which doesn't match the animal theme but I loved them so much, at least they were the right colors.

My Aunt Peg gave us the awesome Noah's ark rug which really pulls the room together.

Lastly, the plate we brought from Costa Rica, on our honeymoon, is hanging over the window.  It is a little crazy and full of stuff but it all is filled with love and everyone contributed so much to making it all come together!  Thank you for all your wonderful contributions to Indiana's first bedroom...where he probably will not sleep for months but it looks great nonetheless!

I love our family and friends for all the love, encouragement, and support they have shown us through this process and I am so proud I get to tell my son all the cool stories about how his room came together.
