So Indy did not take a nap all day Saturday and screamed the entire hour each time we put him in the crib. By the end of the day, he was exhausted, we were exhausted, and his voice was horse. We decided we needed to take it one thing at a time. We will focus on night sleeping and we can worry about naps next weekend. He went down easily that night with no crying and woke at 1:30 where he proceeded to try to put himself to sleep repeatedly. His primary problem is he brings his knees to his chest to fall asleep and once slumber starts to take him, his feet fall and it wakes him up and he screams for 15 minutes. He did this for 2 hours. Finally he fell asleep at 3:30. He has figured that out and no longer has problems waking in the night. Every once in a while he will fuss for a little bit but he usually just plays with his feet until he is ready to sleep. Overall the transition has been much smoother than anticipated although lately he wakes up at 4:30 every morning wide awake (lucky mommy!!). We are going to try napping again this weekend to try to get him on a better schedule...wish us luck!
